GreenDay Dookie FULL ALBUM. Green Day. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication Full Album. Dookie stylized as dookie is the third studio album and major label debut by American rock band Green Day, released on February 1, 1994 by Reprise Records. The band's first collaboration with producer Rob Cavallo, it was recorded in late 1993 at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, California. Written mostly by frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, the album is mostly based around his personal experiences, with themes such as boredom, anxiety, relationships, and sexuality. The album was promoted with five singles. Dookie - Green Day. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. In both Dookie and American Idiot, Green Day somehow managed to change the world twice. And sure, American Idiot gave them their first Number One album in America, and eventually spawned a pretty ace Broadway musical. And maybe even some day an actual movie. But Dookie not only affected and will continue to affect entire generations, it also dramatically changed the trajectory of alternative rock in the wake of Kurt Cobains death during its early years my challenger Ian Winwood has just written a really amazing book about that, which tells this story better than I ever could. Покупайте и продавайте винил и компакт-диски, формируйте. Green Day - Dookie 1994. Day is a self-titled greatest hits album and a promotional use album by Green Day. The album is rare everywhere, but is noted as an official release by Reprise Records. The album features most singles since the band's signing to Reprise Records. Green Day couldn't have had a blockbuster without Nirvana, but Dookie wound up being nearly as revolutionary as Nevermind, sending a wave of imitators up the charts and setting the tone for the mainstream rock of the mid-'90s. Like Nevermind, this was accidental success, the sound of a promising underground group suddenly hitting its stride just as they got their first professional, big-budget, big-label production. Really, that's where the similarities end, since if Nirvana were indebted to the weirdness of indie rock, Green Day were straight-ahead punk revivalists through and. I was disappointed with Green Day's albums after Dookie, until American Idiot was released, approximately a decade later. I had not listened to Green Day in years, but loved the new, different, sound of Green Day. It started a Green Day renaissance and I had to listen to Dookie again and I re-discovered how great the album is. I don't like it as much as when I was a teenager, but it passes the test of time and I still enjoy listening to it. Any teenager out there should check out this album. A band with Green Days momentum and punk pedigree was obvious bait for the major labels. Still, it was Armstrongs voice, sneering and congested, that initially put one A&R exec off of Green Days demo. Luckily, he passed it to his producing partner, Rob Cavallo, whose father had been Princes manager circa Purple Rain and who, despite signing respected L. pop-punks the Muffs, was sorely in need of a hit. He found one. Co-produced by Cavallo and the band themselves, Green Days Dookie was released on February 1, 1994. To date, the bands WarnerReprise debut has sold more than 16 millio
