Liner notes:
The first 2066 & Then Second Battle vinyl reissue was released in a strictly edition of 1000 copies which sold out in a matter of months. The double album "Reflections On The Past" (Second Battle Treasuries 001) was released 2 years ago with previously unreleased material, and sold out all 600 copies as well. Now, the long-awaited "Reflections!" CD issue is here.
The reason the CD was postponed so long was because of the disappearance of the original masters. United Artists and Phoenix no longer exist, making the search even more difficult. Although the original masters never did resurface, slightly different recordings of the same pristine quality were found. These recordings stem from the pre-"Reflections" LP sessions, although a few songs have previously appeared on "Reflections On The Past". The solution of using previously unreleased material seemed preferable to damping released songs with a noise filter for LP transcription. Apart from that, this collection enables listeners to enjoy longer and much more interesting recordings - all digitally remastered. "Reflections!" definitely presents one of Germany's best rock bands in the best light.

Then German band Twenty Sixty-Six and Then and their English language debut album Reflections on the Future' from 1972 might be just what you're after, a Mellotron and Hammond-dominated rocker that incorporates traces of early Genesis and Van der Graaf Generator to their crossover of late Sixtiesearly Seventies rock sounds, plus a touch of Beggars' Opera and Nektar with. Despite additional recordings to what ended up on the LP some of the bonus tracks here hint at a strong NiceTriumvirat-like bombastic dexterity, the band would sadly split up mere months after its release, leaving behind. password: Progressive Rock. The "REFLECTIONS!" CD is compiled from original tapes that comprise...

[2] REFLECTIONS ON THE PAST (5/1971-3/1972) 2LP

REFLECTIONS! (Second Battle SB 025) CD

1. AT MY HOME (Gagey Mrozeck/Steve Robinson/Geff Harrison) 7'57" - full length version from [2]
2. AUTUMN (Steve Robinson/Geff Harrison) 9'06" - LP version from [1]
3. BUTTERKING (Geff Harrison/Steve Robinson) 7'17" - LP version from [1]
4. REFLECTIONS ON THE FUTURE (Veit Marvos/Geff Harrison) 15'48" - LP version from [1]
5. THE WAY THAT I FEEL TODAY (Veit Marvos/Geff Harrison) 11'11" - full length version of "How Do You Feel" from [2]
6. SPRING (?) 13'02" - unique track from [2]
7. I WANNA STAY (?) 3'59" - unique track from [2]
8. TIME CAN'T TAKE IT AWAY (?) 4'40" - unique track from [2]

Tracks 1-6 comprise the LP, with track 1 being 2'25" longer (includes extra intro/instrumental breaks that were edited out from the LP to make side 1 a manageable 21 minutes), and then "How Do You Feel" (on the LP that was only: 3'22") is replaced by an earlier much better version of "The Way That I Feel Today".

The 2LP set [2] also included some other inferior live material on its 3rd side.

So, REFLECTIONS! is literally a "Best Of" compilation. In fact, the only real "Best Of" compilation I've ever come across!
